Coming to Fly Fish near Vancouver?

Welcome to Vancouver. We have some of the best sport fishing opportunities for Fly Fishing and Fishing for Salmon, Trout and Steelhead. The Pitt River has some incredible opportunities within 50 miles of Vancouver and the upper Pitt River being the most productive river in B.C. for all salmon and trout species and sturgeon.

Danny and Lee at the Pitt River Lodge and The Fly Fishing Lodge have lived and fished the area for nearly 30 years and have more local fishing knowledge and fishing experience than any other company working in the Pitt River watershed. If you are going to come to the Pitt River to fish you can do no better than Danny and Lee. Why fish with the rest when you can fish with the best.

The upper Pitt is located 30 miles north east of Vancouver, just behind the mountains that you see from the city as such we are boat and air access only (see the webcams and location map linked here).

With the Pitt River Lodge or The Fly Fishing Lodge we do guided day trips as well as full lodging packages. The Pitt River has fish year round and is all wild catch and release fishery, which is why year after year it has strong healthy runs of large hard fighting fish.

Just a 30 minute boat ride across Pitt Lake takes you to a wilderness equal if not better than Alaska where you can see bears, Roosevelt Elk, wolves, deer, bald eagles and golden eagles and numerous other wildlife on your fishing adventure.

The Upper Pitt River system is one of those unique river systems that offers year round fishing for Salmon, Steelhead, Bull Trout, Rainbow Trout and Cutthroat Trout on both the wet and dry fly. If you love fly fishing this is a must fish river that should be on your bucket list!
